This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit www.the-aiedge.com or sign up for updates. It's written by Kevin O'Rourke ("we," "us," "the site").
Email address. If you sign up for free updates or the optional quarterly briefing, we collect the email address you provide. That's it. We don't ask for your name, your portfolio, or anything else to join the list.
The free tools. The stress-test tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. The tickers you type in are never sent anywhere, logged, or stored, the whole thing works off a small built-in reference table, with no server on the other end. We have no record of what you enter.
Basic site analytics. [If/when you install analytics: name the tool here, e.g. "We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you individually across sites, to see aggregate numbers like how many people visit a page." If nothing is installed yet, remove or update this line before publishing.]
We don't sell your email address. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't buy data about you from anyone else to build a profile. The only reason we have your email is that you gave it to us to send you updates.
To send the updates you signed up for: new prompt templates, tool comparisons, and (if you opt into it separately) the quarterly briefing. Nothing else. If we ever wanted to use it differently, we'd ask first.
Email delivery. We use [EMAIL PLATFORM] to manage the mailing list and send emails. Their own privacy policy governs how they handle the list on their infrastructure.
Buying the book. When you click through to buy the book, you leave this site and land on a retailer's page. Their privacy policy applies there, not this one. We have no visibility into what they collect.
This site does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. [Update this section once analytics or any other cookie-based tool is added.]
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Using it removes you from the list immediately. If you want your email address deleted from our records entirely, write to us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
